Very impressed with my new 6.5 creedmoor
« on: March 09, 2019, 03:33:24 PM »

Winter weather finally gave me a break and allowed me to use my new 6.5 creedmoor with Hornaday ELD-X 143 ammo. Fired 3 rounds at 100 yards with a grouping the size of a half dollar. Only modification was the addition of a metal trigger gaurd and a adjustmant to 1.5 on the factory trigger. Very impressed with the performance so far.

Just finished my 6mm Creedmoor build (A T3X SS action) Krieger HV barrel (28”) in 1/7” twist and it shows great promise with 105 ELD although not even broken in yet ;)
Will test some 105 Scenars and 105 Berger VLD’s in a very near future and work up some great loads while at it.
A nice caliber to shoot. Since it’s one heavy bugger there’s no recoil. Less than a 223 with a muzzle break attached ... :) :) :)
