Hybrid Ram
« on: November 12, 2014, 06:55:24 PM »

Here in Hawaii we have a few different types of sheep, the Mouflon, Black Hawaiian, feral and some hybrids. The hybrids are always interesting with mixes of all the different kinds but generally between the feral and Mouflon sheep.

I got a unique hybrid this past weekend with a Mouflon and almost domestic head and a feral neck,  shoulders and back complete with dreadlocks and a mouflon underbelly

aprox 100yd heart shot with my T3 in 270wsm in a B&C Medalist sporter stock fitted with a Zeiss Conquest HD5 3-15x42 shooting 150gr Federal Fusion

How is the Zeiss scope working out thus far? I have the 5-25x50 with 800 bdc. Great work!

Been loving the Zeiss, I do a bit of shorter range hunting (50-200) and the 3-15 works really well on 3x and the 42mm objective keeps the whole package relatively compact for the actual zoom range. Optically its stunning. I have yet to find something I like better in that price range. For me the RZ800 reticle is perfect too, most of the time I have used the center which is zeroed at 200yds but its nice to know I can reach out further with no thought at all. For the rifle and use/budget I have for it I think the Zeiss is the winner.
